By accessing or using ReceiptSentry ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ReceiptSentry provides a cloud-based receipt management platform that includes:

• Receipt image upload and storage
• OCR (Optical Character Recognition) text extraction
• Multi-category tagging and organization
• Warranty tracking and alerts
• Financial reporting and expense analysis
• Cloud storage and multi-device sync

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.

4. Subscription Plans & Payment

4.1 Free Plan

The Free plan is limited to 50 receipts and basic features. No payment information is required.

4.2 Paid Plans

Pro and Business plans are billed monthly or annually. All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated. Payment is processed through Stripe, and you agree to their terms of service.

4.3 Free Trial

New users receive a 14-day free trial on paid plans. No credit card is required during the trial. You will only be charged if you choose to continue after the trial period.

4.4 Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. Contact support for refund requests.

4.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your billing period. No refunds for partial months.

5. Data & Privacy

5.1 Your Data

You retain all rights to the receipt images and data you upload. We do not claim ownership of your content.

5.2 Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption (AES-256) to protect your data in transit and at rest. Regular backups are performed to prevent data loss.

5.3 Privacy Policy

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties. Your data is used solely to provide the Service. We are GDPR compliant.

5.4 Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, data is permanently removed within 30 days.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal, fraudulent, or copyrighted content
• Use the Service to violate any laws or regulations
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the Service
• Share your account credentials with others
• Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Scrape or extract data using automated tools

7. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.

8. Intellectual Property

The ReceiptSentry platform, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by copyright laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

ReceiptSentry is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Loss of data or receipts due to technical failures
• Inaccurate OCR extraction results
• Tax calculation errors or missed deductions
• Financial losses related to warranty expiry
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the past 12 months.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms. You may request data export before account deletion.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

12. Fair Use Policy

Our service is designed for personal and business receipt management. We expect users to use the service reasonably and in good faith.

• Free tier users are limited to 50 receipts total
• Pro users have unlimited receipts but should use storage reasonably
• Automated bulk uploads or scraping are prohibited without prior written consent
• Using the service to store content unrelated to receipts (e.g., personal photos, documents) is not permitted
• Sharing accounts between multiple users is not allowed

We reserve the right to limit or suspend accounts that violate this fair use policy or place unreasonable demands on our infrastructure.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which our company is registered. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration.
